Abuja, May 21, 2026: The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), in collaboration with Nile Business School, Nile University of Nigeria, has hosted a four-day Executive Industry Immersion Challenge (EIIC) aimed at bridging the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience.
The programme, held at the NDIC Head Office in Abuja, provided business school students with valuable exposure to policy formulation, institutional governance, and public sector management.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Managing Director/Chief Executive of NDIC, Mr. Thompson Oludare Sunday, described the initiative as a strategic platform for strengthening collaboration between academia and industry. He emphasised the importance of equipping future leaders with practical knowledge, ethical values, and sound leadership principles.
The NDIC Chief Executive further encouraged participants to embrace integrity, transparency, and good governance as essential foundations for effective leadership and national development.
The collaboration underscores NDIC’s commitment to talent development, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of a financially stable and resilient society through meaningful partnerships with academic institutions.
